Share reference images before booking — every photographer has a signature style (bright and airy, dark and moody, film-like) they will not fully abandon per client. Full sessions are 60-120 minutes, at your choice of location, with more posing variety and 20-50+ images. Minis suit updated family photos; milestones deserve a full session.

Hobbyists and newcomers charge roughly a third of what established professionals do. Expect a 1-hour portrait or family session to cost about one to three hours of a skilled trade's labour in your country, with editing time built into the price. Event and commercial work costs more per hour because of prep, gear and licensing.

Rates run RM200-RM800 per hour. Portrait or family sessions typically total RM400-RM1,200; full-day wedding coverage (often split into akad nikah and reception sessions) clusters at RM3,000-RM8,000 from established studios.

Malay weddings commonly split across the akad nikah and one or two receptions, sometimes on different days or states — packages price these as separate sessions or multi-event bundles. Confirm exactly which events, hours and travel are included, and the surcharge for cross-state coverage.
