Standard exclusions: hazardous materials (gas bottles, paint, chemicals, fuel — drain mowers first), perishable food, plants on long moves, and high-value items like jewellery, cash and documents, which you should carry yourself. Some firms also exclude or surcharge pianos, safes, and gym equipment — declare them upfront.

Midweek (Tuesday-Thursday) and mid-month dates are consistently cheapest, since leases and completions cluster at month-end and weekends sell out. Off-season months also quote lower. Declutter first — volume drives price, and a skip-load of junk can be cheaper than moving it. Pack yourself, dismantle furniture in advance, book midweek and mid-month, and be fully ready when the crew arrives (hourly clocks run while you tape boxes). Moving the small stuff yourself by car and leaving only furniture to the pros also shrinks the crew hours.

A 1-ton lorry trip with crew runs about RM250-RM600 and a 3-ton lorry RM500-RM1,200. A typical apartment move totals RM400-RM1,200, a terrace house RM800-RM2,000, and larger bungalow moves RM1,500-RM4,000 with multiple trips or a 5-ton truck.

Most managed condos require a refundable moving deposit (commonly RM200-RM1,000), a booked cargo lift slot, and moving within office hours. Arrange this with the management office days ahead — movers refused entry still charge for the trip.
