Green waste (branches, hedge trimmings, grass) is usually accepted and often composted, but soil and turf are heavy-load items priced by weight like rubble. Some operators run cheaper green-waste-only rates because their disposal cost is lower — ask, rather than lumping garden waste into a general junk quote.

Almost always by volume — the fraction of the truck or van your junk fills — plus surcharges for heavy materials (rubble, soil) and hard-to-dispose items (mattresses, fridges, tyres). Most companies have a minimum charge for a single-item pickup. Labour to carry items out is normally included; long carries, stairs and dismantling can add fees.

For a one-off pile you could load yourself over a weekend, a skip or dumpster is usually cheaper per cubic metre. A single bulky item costs about RM80-RM250 to collect, a full 3-ton lorry load RM400-RM900, and a whole-house clearance RM600-RM2,500. In many areas the official concessionaire collects a limited amount of bulky waste free on schedule — check before paying.

In concession areas under Act 672, bulky-waste collection (furniture, mattresses, small amounts of garden waste) is part of the scheduled service — typically bookable or on set dates, free within limits. Renovation debris is excluded and needs a private contractor or roro bin.
